Teach a Child Visits Depute Bahia Hariri

Mrs Zeina El Khalil, Mrs Nadine Bissat Irani and Mrs Maha Makki visited HE Mrs Bahia Hariri. Her Excellency gave us an overview of what was achieved in the parliament in the field of education, and the tremendous work that has been done at the level of public schools. The main topic of our discussion was the newly released law regarding compulsory education for children in primary and middle schools. We relayed our concern regarding the implementation of this new law and whether the implementation decrees are going to follow. This is essential for the success of the new law, which is still a theory. Her Excellency promised to raise the issue with the Minister of Education and with the members of parliament who are working on this law.
